September 7th - October 12th

The second coming of Jesus isn't a myth, a metaphor or a theory. It's a promised return, the day when everything changes. Come alongside us as we delve into the future foretold in scripture—a future where there's no more pain, death or tears. The day is coming.

What if the end of the world isn't something to fear...but something to long for?

Weekly Themes

September 7th - Why Talk About This?

There is a day coming when everything will be made right. To put it in biblical language, "In the twinkling of an eye, everything will change." We will lay the theological and spiritual foundation for studying the second coming of Jesus.

1 Corinthians 15:52

September 14th - The Prophecy: This Was Not Plan "B"

This is not a New Testament idea, nor is it a construct of 20th century authors. Isaiah and many Old Testament authors gave graphic depictions of the restorative power of God through the creation of new heavens and a new earth to replace the former things that had been stained by sin. We will explore the Old Testament prophetic witness regarding the second coming of Jesus.

Ezekiel 37:12-14

September 21st - Growing a Love for His Appearing

What would it take for you to truly long for Jesus to come back? Love for Jesus' return exerts a sustaining power over our lives that enables us to persevere through every situation and circumstance. We will focus on our personal desire for Jesus' return and becoming people who "love the Lord's appearing."

2 TImothy 4:8

September 28th - The Spectacle - The Majestic Splendor of the Second Coming

Be careful that we aren't adding or taking away from the scriptures or dividing with one another on a topic that isn't clear. But instead, let's come together and focus on Jesus Christ and His splendor and majesty. We will focus on what it means to live with readiness for Christ's return.

Matthew 24:2-14

October 5th - The Warning - What If He Comes Before I'm Ready?

We cannot know when He will come and we waste time in guessing when that will be, but we can expect to be faithful and endure well while we wait - working with purpose, expectantly and joyfully. We will explore what we are called to do in the "in-between" time - after Jesus' ascension and before His return.

Romans 14:10, Revelation 20:11-15

October 12th - I Want to be Ready - What Do I Do Between Now and Then?

Will we be found faithful when He returns? The day is either approaching or it is not, but who will be found faithful? This final week brings us our series full circle, culminating in the prayerful culmination, "Even so, come, Lord Jesus."

Titus 2:11-15, 1 Thessalonians 5:2-6

A person with tattoos on their arm is holding another person 's hand

He has always loved you.

And He will never stop loving you.

The reason He loves you like He does is because He created you in His image. He even knew you before you ever took your first breath.

That’s why He loves you like He does.

Will you accept what He did through Jesus to prove His love for you

We hope you will. The consequence of your decision is incomprehensible. To choose to live your life outside of a relationship with Jesus is Hell.

To choose Jesus as your Lord and Savior is life forever with Him in the perfection of Heaven.
